Prof. Dr. E. Elif Vatanoğlu-Lutz graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1999 and completed her PhD in History of Medicine and Ethics in 2007. She served as faculty member at Yeditepe University and Koç University Medical Faculties, and lectured in Health Law at Kadir Has University.
In 2019, she founded the Oxytocin Medicine and Art Platform. In 2021, she became the first Turkish woman to receive the prestigious international Gusi Peace Prize for bridging medicine and the arts. She is currently a faculty member at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of History of Medicine and Ethics.
